
Patchwork Quilt Heritage reflects the current times
Quilting American tradition has always included a discussion of current events, either in the life of the author or the nation as a whole. Quilting has been a time and the need of women for a hundred years. Since immigrants have made their way to their country and New World ancient traditions of quilting followed. Finally, these different styles and traditions merge and eventually become a new American tradition: quilts quilt.
Historians and collectors can trace the history of U.S. political and economic objectives through quilts. Types of fabrics, colors and patterns can tell us whether or not the nation prosperous and whether there was a strong movement politics, the author participated inches before the Industrial Revolution changed the production of textiles, all debris was precious. All the houses had a bag of junk. We believe that is how the parts used for quilt arrived.
In the first blanket was disorderly in the design. Most of the time were sewn blanket, without any real reason, just the heat in mind. Soon, however, different model has evolved. Styles red, white and blue, like the Heritage Mosaic currently used quilts stitched to the holding of political pride. Most people think of as just duvets blankets bed. But for many others before us, are a way to make a strong statement and sustainable. In fact, the words spoken centuries ago by the quilts are still heard today.
