I need ideas for a quilt project for a school where students are not allowed to use needles. ideas?
This is a public school in the Bronx, where I do a month's residence during his long program after school. I am a mixed-media artist, and have been quilting a lot lately and have the textile arts. program coordinator believes that this would be great for kids to do a community project of quilting, but the children are in a kind of school high risk and not allowed to have needles. I'm thinking means applying the tail feathers of fabric and trimmings in the squares of muslin and secure it might be spaces to another using the carnations and son or something. Does anyone here have any experience or ideas for these things? My main concern is that children have fun and complete a product is really great.
