Quilt Style Types

As a beginning Quilter, what kind of quilt I do?

So I've decided to return to his roots natural and relaxing – that has decided to make a quilt. The first step is to choose what type of quilt you would like to do, which is more satisfying and beautiful! There are many types to choose, but the important thing is to look very different examples and find one that is stop and look for a while. It is a true indication of what type you want to do more enthusiasm.

The following list is a compilation of different types of quilt styles that exist with a brief explanation of each style. If the plot, can do more research, dozens of venues that you visit or browse the many books available in the seam at Amazon.com, the Internet or from your local library.

The main types of quilts that I have found are:

• Patchwork Quilt or reconstructed

* The traditional style
* Friendship – Friends Spaces to sign, perhaps to get a gift
* Crazy – Random Design, all fabrics with different textures and different
colors. Victorian style made of satins and velvets.
* Medallion Care Center – A main panel surrounded by a series of
plain or coordinating borders
* Sampler – As an album or a quilt of friendship, but rather reconstituted
wall – a different model in each block
* Charm – Each fabric is used only once on any quilt

Quilts • Applique '

* The traditional style
* Baltimore Album – Detailed design and embellished
* Hawaii – Using hand-dyed fabrics batik, hand-painted some
* Folk Art – unusual fabrics and "discovered" the art (eg, buttons)
* Portrait – very artistic textiles used as a paint to produce an "image"
* Stained Glass – Black bias tape is used for the "boost" effect between the
places as a window
* Molas – All fabric sewn together, then the shapes are cut to reveal
modes under
* Celtic – continuous line of tissue called the "Route of life "
* Center Medallion Applets – A panel of the main wall centered
surrounded by a series of decorative borders

• Watercolor Quilt

A bit like a puzzle. A quilt for the very artistic, which uses
different models and colors of fabric (very light to very dark) cut
squares small and is used to make a painting, as you design
create.

• All Quilt Fabric

Also known as "white" quilts. Great piece of cloth (usually white)
where the dots quilting suture is the actual design.

• Strip Quilt

Parallel bars or cloth strips that are arranged vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

• Pictoral Quilt

Realistic images of people, animals, objects or scenes as the reason.

• Embroidered Quilt

Design embroidered on the top, no stick between the two layers.

Choosing the Right Type of quilt is the first step. For the beginner, I find it very disappointing that the stages of progress, but once everything is in order and ready to go, the quilt, we hope become an avid crafts that you can enjoy during the coming years.
