How square of cloth before cutting strips from a blanket?
I made my first quilt! I decided on the model of a fence, since it seems more easy. Before I begin though I have heard that the Plaza of the fabric before cutting. Is this true and how can I do? I have adjusted the grain of the fabric, but I'm under the impression that this is not the same thing square. I have a rotary cutter, rotary mat and ruler Quilter clear long to use as a rule. Please Please help!
Congratulations and welcome to the machine, this is a section where you can find great differences of opinion between Quilters. Years ago, I took a class from Marianne Fons of Fons & Porter (nationally known authors and quilting teachers) and technique has shown. First, do not worry about straightening the grain unless it suffers the model – if the pattern is square to leave him alone.
