Can anyone help with basic quilting?

I never made a quilt before, but I'm pretty good with the sewing and all that. I'm confused because I researched online and websites are so poorly organized and confusing. What do I block individual with a start, batting, and back and then attach all together? or can I set up the quilt with the blocks of tissue, then put the stick across the top, then return? And what is the best way to establish individual blocks together, if I use the method and sewing machine?

The great advantage of anchoring is that you can do as he pleases. Traditional Quiltmakers sandwich-piece set: first, stick, and back, quilt, trim excess support staff, then put the link.
