How do I label the handmade quilt that is already finished?

Obviously, this is my first quilt. I thought the label was the last step, but now I've read that you should sew in the media before quilting! Oops! I have no printer so I will not attempt a tag printed by computer. I tried to embroider the label, but it looks great, so I wondered if writing with a Sharpie marker might work, or to run or fade doing laundry? I need quick fixes, I made the quilt for my baby and she is due anytime. So quick and easy to do, the better. Any advice appreciated!

I always sew labels on my hand after the quilt is completed. I think it looks better that way and never heard of putting them in the first support. Another Quilter I know is that if the labels of his writing with a pen thin line of information of fabrics (Pigma Micron archival ink) a square of fabric, then sew by hand after the quilt is complete, too. Just be sure to use a pen made for the marking material and should be ready.
