Replant our national forests in many types of trees and deciduous trees is desperately needed Evergreen

America is home some of the oldest, largest trees and beautiful in the world, as the tree of California – California Redwood, and the Tennessee tree – poplar. Of coast to coast, with stunning trees meet our national forests. Many tree species types of deciduous and evergreen different stunned us with its impressive majesty and beauty that inspires us to cut off breathing.

This summer millions of people visit our country's 155 national forests to enjoy the many opportunities Recreation these forests. as a renewable resource, trees provide wood for our homes, habitat for wildlife and clean air for millions of us.

Unfortunately, the record fire seasons in recent years have destroyed millions of maple, oak, willow, birch, cedar, redwood and most types of evergreens. Several national forests have suffered extensive loss of trees of these fires may be out of control for weeks at a time. The National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, reports that in 2007 alone more than 85,705 fires have burned over 9,328,045 acres of wilderness.

The fires may be caused by a variety of events, but a ray of human activities are linked responsible for most of the fires each year. Things like fires out of control, burn a discarded cigarette, fire, or even use a computer capable of causing a fire.

Once a forest fire has started, many contributing factors to spread and increase the intensity.

Fuel – dead leaves, pine needles, grass, dead branches, weeds and

- Meteorological factors, temperature, humidity, precipitation and wind

Topography – Steep may increase fire intensity and provide obstacles for firefighters

While forest fires can benefit ecosystems, major fires in recent years have caused an extreme and unusual damage – damage that will not heal. In many cases, such as damage to the redwoods California, natural regeneration is almost impossible. Even natural resources, the growth of most types of evergreens can take many years Moreover, without a significant effort to replant.

However, as Arbor Day Foundation, a large part of the budget of the United States Forest Service was simply diverted to the fight against these big fires, with little space for replanting. In fact, the Forest Service has identified a delay of over a million acres of national forests of America, where there is an urgent need to be replanted. Each year this number increases regularly.

The lights are not the only threat to these living national treasures. Insect infestations, such as mountain pine south, have reached epidemic levels in some forests, which affects millions of acres and killing hundreds of thousands of trees. In addition, diseases such as sudden oak death, spruce decline, and the white pine blister rust in an annual report on trees in forests throughout the country.

Replanting the forests of our nation is essential to the health and quality of the environment – for residents in the area for visitors to our national forests, and all of us. Everyone can act to protect and maintain our national forests back to health as it not only are a national treasure – are an important part of our future.
