Queen size Log Cabin Quilt Block – size, quantity of material, etc?
I'm not very good at calculating the sizes and quantities of equipment I need for a quilt, so I'm hoping someone can help me. I want to make a quilt for the queen of the 16 blocks of registers to be held in often sees the star setting. How much equipment do I need for each component: schools, 2 or 4 lights and 2 or 4 shades? What is the size of a border should be use and how the amount of equipment needed? What is the size of each block should be when finished, and my band width is necessary. I work in this role as well, but I would appreciate if someone else could give some ideas as well. Web links are also appreciated! Thank you very much for your time!
I love this site. Different blocks and very good instructions. This section will help determine its size and structure yard. http://www.quilterscache.com/StartQuiltingPages/startquiltingtwo.html Are you planing to put the blocks in a friendship of stars? I should mention that 16 blocks of a quilt queen means very large blocks. The quilt must be 88×96. 16 blocks would be arrested 4 wide and 4 tall. You're talking about 20 + "log cabin blocks. Mat for the first time mine was a quilt of Full-size stars Friendly Log Cabin. My blocks were 14 ". I never use the big blocks again. It not only shows off the structure and smaller blocks. I use 6 "blocks if I had another – 8" max.
