What are your favorite easy to intermediate quilt patterns?
I'm wanting to do a double quilt fabric main contact and 2-4 supporting tissues. I just made a quilt before and it was a baby quilt simple four patch. It was very good, but I have afraid to try anything too complicated yet (Squares, rectangles, triangles, and can be). If you can tie line models, would be great. Or just tell me the name and find me. Thanks!
Check out some of the models http://reocities.com/quiltfrenzy/ – This is all relatively easy due to the way they sew, even if they seem complex. Pay special attention to "The Flamingo Pond" bands http://www.reocities.com/quiltfrenzy/onflamingopond.html Romans also works easily and it seems much more difficult than it is: Another http://www.reocities.com/quiltfrenzy/sunshine-shadow.html starting block is a patch in September, which tends to be a bit boring, but here there are some alternatives that are much more difficult http://quilting.about.com/b/2009/04 http://www.scrapquilts.com/julybom.html / 01/beginner-friendly-framed-nine-patch- quilt-block-pattern.htm http://larryeverson.com/2004/uneven9patch-2.jpg (9 square patch with senior centers, along with plain blocks of equal size). Yet another is very easy (And good for the use of a lot of scrap fabric) is China's Currency: http://www.quilterscache.com/ C / http://vickiwelsh.typepad.com/field_trips_in_fiber/2007/09/chinese-coins -q.html ChineseCoinsBlock.html This is so easy that often end up using Chinese coins in the back of a quilt. Remember that you can vary the size of the band separation easily. If you go to the library, Alex Anderson Quilt few good books for beginners: http://www.amazon.com/Start-Quilting-Alex-Anderson-Projects-Most/dp/1571208127 and Eleanor Burns has a number of books with blocks and easy ways to make it even easier ttp: / / www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&tag=mozilla-20&index=blended&link_code=qs&field-keywords=quilt in one day and find SourceID = Mozilla fun!
