Thread Quilting Sewing
In the area of $ 1,000 to $ 1,500, which is the best sewing machine to buy?

I am looking for a computerized machine, with points manifold. It should be good for quilting, and must have a self-Threading option! Thanks in advance for your answers!

In this range, you have many options. I recommend purchasing a local distributor – Check your telephone directory. Thus, you have someone nearby who can service the machine if a problem (always). And going to a local dealer, you can test the machines. If you have a chance, check Expos important quilt in your area. Besides be full of incredible quilts, leading manufacturers of sewing machines are there for you to try. Often "special show" where you can buy the machines less – sometimes much less. I quilt, but do not use the vast amount of articles available on my machine so can not comment on that side. For quilting, however, you want to find a machine with the following (if you have been quilting for a long time, you probably know already, but just in case where): 1. The needle down – the ability to configure the device to always stop with the needle in the tissue at the top position. This is super important for Quilters. 2. A quarter inch foot – special shoes to help you maintain a "perfect" quarter-inch seam. 3. Free motion or darning foot – used for sewing the quilting – free motion movement of the fabric under the needle 4. The ability to move or cover the feed dogs – for free motion quilting 5. A commitment to move – Helps to maintain two layers of fabric moving through without pulling ahead of the other. Especially good when quilted. 5. A space on the right arm – the more space under his arm, plus you can fill quilt against him when quilted. 6. Easy threading, including coil – This is not only put the thread through the eye of the needle – If it is difficult to put the whole machine, you hate working with him. Check marks: Pfaff (I have one) – usually more expensive because of the integrated dual power (IDT – do not ask me why T is what they call). This is a built in walking foot, which is great because it moves at the speed of exactly the same as feeding their dogs. Unfortunately, add much cost. Bernina – new regulatory models have a "Stitch" that allows her embroidery are still, even to perform free labor movement. Brother – my mother has it and loves it. His was about $ 600, I think, and includes nearly 300 points, an automatic needle threader, needle up / down, and an option to start or stop the machine by pressing a button instead of a creek walk. The coil is easy to change too. Janome – Janome We have an industrial style that just a mouthful, but very (very!) Fast. It is heavy, well built, and very difficult to thread. The can is also a challenge to reach. However, the top models are much more enjoyable. Husqvarna Viking – another highly respected brand. I have not worked with her, but I have heard many good things. Elna – another good brand, popular with Quilters.
